Check roof spaces for insulation. Even if you know that you have the recommended minimum levels for insulation routine maintenance such as wiring and plumbing can disturb the layers. Any gaps dramatically increase heat loss.
Turn your heating thermostat down. Reducing room temperature by 1 degree C could cut your bill by up to 10%. If the temperature is set too high people will want to open doors and windows to cool down!

Position refrigerators sensibly – away from ovens and radiators which make them work harder.
Tell your staff about your energy saving goals. Stick appropriate reminders in non-public areas until the actions you want become habits.
Make energy monitoring and checks a regular part of your work practices.
